Fuzzy Edges--Two Word Challenge
A self administered sleep drug --safe for little ones
Anything with fuzzy edges is her desire
Blankets with fringe, a sablehair brush
Maybe a mullein leaf torn off in the meadow walk
Long hair, washed and silky that day
The kitty tail, could be the pup's
A worn glove with threads at thumb's end
A daisy or two could surely do it
Tassels hanging from the tip of the hat
Take any of them and gently rub around the ear
Poke it at the eye and swirl around the brow
Over the tip of the nose and swipe across the lips
Again and again
Relax, heavy lids, fall asleep.
The two year old slips into slumber
Suddenly it's quiet in the living room.
