Mediamatters reports FOX distortion of Lowrey eulogy

Mediamatters reports that FOX News video editors clipped the extensive applause that the Rev. Joseph Lowrey's eulogy for Coretta Scott King drew, and then let it pass that one of their commentators remarked that the crowd was hardly "uproarious in their response" to Lowrey's remarks.

As Daily KOS remarked, "How Soviet of them."

Media Matters is a phenomenally good fact checking site, masterminded by David Brock, a former right wing spin doctor moved over to the liberal side of reality.  Recommended.  Always worth reading.

"Fair & Balanced?"  I don't know if it's balanced, but it's always rigorous about fact checking.  More than I could ever say for Fox.

The saddest thing is that I used to watch Fox back awhile ago, and quit watching in disgust over the fact that they always praised Republicans while they bashed the Democrats. I spoke to my roomate, who never noticed the propaganda and said that they were hardly Fair and Balanced as they claimed to be, then the documentary Outfoxed came out, and I realized I was not the only one with this theory. Nice to see intelligent people out there realizing that the newest dictator in town had a propaganda machine at work too.

Thanks for the heads up again to remind us about those FOX people. I don't ever watch them. I can't even stand their voices. Did you read the Coretta King Memorial account by a Antioch Trustee who went to the funeral that I posted. Check it out. It gives you a real feel for the day. I guess the biggest ovation was for Clinton and Lowrey.
