I'm looking for my humor
Mayhaps it's just asleep
What's us'lly on the surface
Must now be burried deep
I'm looking out the window
To birds who flit and fly
Elusive, like my humor
I kiss to them and sigh
Tho weary down with sorrow
My humor keeps sane
It keeps me seeking pleasure ---
Uniqueness in mundane
Alas, my Humor's missing
Or at the very least
Is muted by life's beatings
Troubles which are not ceased
I'm looking to the snowfall
Blanket of purity
To wake my sense of wonder
Of love for all I see
With senses dulled I wander
Perhaps it's just as well
If sadness gets much stronger
I'll taste the flames of hell
So humor, go on sleeping
I guess you're tuckered out
I'll rest my self a little
P'rhaps will ease my doubt

Terrific job.
Stephen, When I'm bitchy, I try to sequester myself.....alas, I would that I could get away from ME on those days! Good luck!
Carol, you relate and still comment kindly, bless you!
Enoch, I love your "like a fugitive on the run" analogy.
You guys rock!
Nice work, I am fond of your poetry - always.
I usually am the one to be toned down in the morning, so happy am I to live another day in the beauty and wonder of life. It's just been tough, and despite my resolve to be happy, my chpper ain't chippin lately!
Trying harder.......
I have a new box of pastel sidewalk chalks and the kite that MS gave me we could play with. This kite is awesome! One of those stunt kites. And virgin pastel sidewalk chalk? Oh yeah - truly cool. We're talkin' now, bay bay...
Or we could make chocolates, I still have half a batch of homemade caramel, some pecans and dipping chocolate - TURTLES!!!!
Okay Cathy, wanna' turn this into a round robin challenge:
I'll start, what is an inane nene?
Tag, you're it---
I, too, have a kite to fly.....
I've got a fondu pot for the chocolates. I think we're set!
And I have a big front porch for the pristine sidewalk chalk.....
Loverly...
Thanks, David!
Well, I tried....
And come on over......
I have bubbles, too!
what's a colonic necklace?
explore your mind.....
Play dough and Glitter! Far out! We'll need a whole week...... for sure.
Bless your lovely heart.....
Thanks Nick!
Thanks
Now that I have another clue to the challenge I will ponder it a bit more before uncle-ing in. All I could think of yesterday was seeing a dispenser for those public toilet protector sheet thingies years ago with graffiti that said, "Nancy Reagan Shower Caps". There's your humor for the mornin' babe!
Okay, what's a chonie?
Good luck Gisela! Stress Monkees - RUN!!!!
Cholonic Necklace = Balboa (sound it out)
EEWWWWWWWW!
hee, hee, hee
Here's an old one I heard on the Prairie Home Companion's joke show: What do you get when you cross a Unitarian, a dyslexic and an insomniac?
Dunno....
Funny, I am a Unitarian (Pagan Witch) and also dyslexic.
Since insomnia is not usually a problem, I cannot solve this one with empathy.
I give up!
Not dyslexic, or a witch, but have been told by my doctor's nurse that I am ADD. Didn't believe it until she ask me how many of them it takes to screw in a light bulb. Want to go ride bikes? I was busted...
Someone who stays up all night wondering if there is a doG.
Please forgive me!
I also have ADD, Dear.....it served me well raising kids.
Have a groovy one!
Thanks Edward.
both Edwards, in fact!
