Thanks to some heavy practice at his birthday two weeks earlier, AB found that the wrapping paper was no match for him at Christmas. He tore into his presents, and some of mine, and his Dad's, with no trouble at all.
Besides the usual assortment of clothes and blocks, and things that make noise and need lots of batteries, Santa was very smart to bring something else that proved to be very helpful with a toddler in the house...
A child's art desk was the favorite this year. This sucker had holders for each washable marker, a dry-erase top that lifted to store coloring books and paper, cup holders for juice and/or paint, and small trays to catch the crayons before they rolled off. The seat lifted up like a piano stool's, to reveal a place for AB's
secret stash of animal cookies. The darn thing even had a light that was child-friendly, and it even turned itself off after a few minutes because we all know kids never remember to turn out the light.
Thank you, Santa! You're one smart dude. And sorry about the cookies... we swear we were going to save you some!
