It would be nice to think " Oh the ignorant are at it again." Unfortunately ignorance is not only no excuse, in this case it isn't even a reason. This article and several others talk about President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's views on the Holocaust. I realize that the man's education has been stifled by his religion but I find it hard to believe that he actually believes that the Holocaust is a hoax, unimportant, no real crime, or has anything particularly debatable about it. If he does, and if he is actually in charge of anything serious in his country, then he is certainly more dangerous to peace and order in the world than Saddam ever was. I suppose that it is quite possible that he is not really in charge of much or at least we can hope.
The Holocaust was a terrible thing. And while the Nazi government of Germany was the prime mover in it, no countries, except perhaps The Netherlands and the Scandinavian countries, can escape the charge of complicity. The English, U.S., and Canadian governments all turned away refugee Jews even when they were fully aware of Hitler's 'Final Solution' . Most European countries under occupation went enthusiastically along with the 'final solution'. While it is entirely possible that no other country would have actually taken such action on their own, almost none can claim to have put up more than token resistance to the Nazi plan.
Frankly to even talk seriously or in any way show respect for someone or some country that would make the claims and seriously support the ideas proclaimed by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran is an embarrassment. They should be taken as seriously as any 'mad dog' and treated much the same.

That is about as important as his believing in Santa Clause.
No one ever heard of this guy until he got elected president.
Much like Hugo Chavis. Can any one remember who was president before he was. We can't even remember who ran for vice president with Jimmy Carter. Now I know someone will write in and say oh yeah and tell me but that is not the point.
Iran isn't getting ready to dry up and blow away. They're getting ready to jump up and blow us away.
w was allowed access to a microphone a little too soon after a programming session. let a word slip, there.
Carter should have refused the shah entry into the USA back in 79- he was wanted for war crimes. Would've avoided that whole hostage crisis thing. I've learned so much about fiction writing from the Carter Library.
