You know what's amazing about the media coverage of this poll that came out today? The fact that so many in the media are reporting as being a "surprising" result.
In Iraq we have toppled a ruthless dictator who used rape, murder and industrial plastic shredders to enforce his regime. In his place we have established a government elected by the people with a set of laws that were also approved by the people. We are rebuilding schools, hospitals and other neccessary infrastructure.
Even the insurgents are getting into the act, encouraging their people to vote in the polls and take part in the government rather than resist democracy.
Why should we be surprised that Iraqis are, generally, happy about these developments? Especially when these developments are exactly what the Bush administration has been aiming toward since the end of the invasion?
Maybe these reporters are spending too much time reading their own reporting and not enough time observing what is actually happening in Iraq.

They are all just one step backward from being African cannabals and seek to bring the world down to their level. Relax everyone as more and more world leaders learn to do the Texas two step to GWB's tune. Those who don't will fall from power or whine in their collective cowardess.
Who's next to see their silent majority unseat them from power? Germany ...done deal! France ... ROLMAO. How about Syria? Then we have the terrorist leader of Iran or the commies in N. Korea. Watch it all unfold as any country, anywhere, will pay dearly, and rue the day they stood by and watched the harming a single American citizen. That folks is an American President on his job!
It would be interesting to see the same questions polled in the U.S. Would 70% actually be happy with the constitution, as currently interpreted?
Thanks, Rob, for keeping the obscure, positive articles in the forefront.
