I was just reading some articles by clicking on the author's link and then reading what his friends had written and so on, and when that line of functioning petered out, my hand naturally went to the top of the page looking for the "members" page.

I imagined that I was going to see some sort of random list of everyone, maybe with a couple article headlines. Maybe sortable. Perhaps this moring I'd like to see what all of the women over the age of 35 are writing about.

I really want easy access to new content. It's a shame that the biggest part of the top of my homepage right now are several articles, most of which I have either read or have seen several times and am never going to read.

Thanks Tracy- great feedback. Navigation-by-author is on our short list of development items. It's interesting, though, that you raise it as a primary method of navigation for content. We expected people to want to find people for the sake of finding...well...people. I hadn't thought much about wanting to see the opinions of "conservatives in Minnesota" or "fans of Matt Pond PA in Boston" as a content list.

We appreciate all the great feedback--please keep it coming. I hope you will let me take you and Chris and your gang out one night to say a personal thanks.

This is some really great feedback. As we continue to look for ways to improve the member experience on Gather I am always thrilled when members like you share your needs and wishes. We're looking at several ideas on how to best find people that interest you. I will ertainly be considering these ideas as we continue to add functionality on Gather.
