We have always trained our dogs to stay in a room with a baby gate. When they are puppies, we keep them in the bathroom at night and when we are away from the house.
She could easily step over . . .

When Kitty, our english mastiff was just a couple months old, it was COLD and there was lots of snow on the ground. I let her out to go potty, when I went to let her in a few minutes later... she hadn't . . .

While I have done miles and miles of walking this week it was all without my dogs since I'm on vacation and they are not. Walking with my dogs will pick up on Sunday.
